I remember this promo for what was once WJW 8, the onetime CBS affiliate in Cleveland, from 1971 - but the name of the bouncy music escapes me. Anyone, Anyone?
I have no idea about the music (although it might have been canned "library music" used by various sources), but I was amused that Phil Donahue's hair was as big and high as Lucy's in 1971.
I grew up in Marion watching Hoolihan and Big Chuck that was later Big Chuck and Little John. That promo shot me straight back to childhood! What was the name of the night time weather man on WJW? I was mentioned on the news once for not sending him wooly bears in an envelope (I put them in a small box and they were still alive when he showed it on air)!
you got me. could it have been written expressly for the promo?
ReplyDeleteI don't think so...it pops up a lot in the 60s and 70s.
