How to be beautiful, Mrs. Bradford Dillman, 1973

The 1970s were a cruel decade.

Found these at miniMadMOD60s - MODEL HISTORY and I thought - "Oh Suzy - Caftans?  Really?"  I mean I never thought I would ever say "Suzy Parker" and "Alan Carr" in the same sentence.  And don't get me started on the poor dears lips - one of her best modeling attributes (along with her hair) - flattened by the vapid tastes of 1973.  Mr. Revson - Where for art thou?

What a world...what a cruel world, indeed.

  3. Upon seeing the smaller version of the profile shot in #2, I thought it was Mr. Bradford Dillman.

  4. David - I think its a mistake. I'd go with number. Its so much softer and coquettish

  5. The sad thing about this is that her lovely hair was cropped and chopped. Without those tresses, her breathy, lilting poses, and the billowing tents of fabric cause a disconnect between who she is posing as, and what fashion had done to her.

  6. I love these. . I always wanted to know how she looked once she retired to opulent Montecito.
