I always thought that Joan was better at comedy than she was given credit for (I love how she shushes Doris with her hand wave); whereas Bette thought she was a great comedienne, and hammed it up mercilessly in most of her comedies.
AFter finding this I discovered that Harriet Craig - in its entirety is on YouTube and watched it and the preview for Queen Bee and I thought to myself "she does have that scene down pat"
