Fall of 1968: Your next car

Top line, New Yorker

Mid-line "300"

Value series Newport

  1. they are not cars, they are BOATS! and solid steel too!

when cars made in america meant excellence...

  2. Interesting series of commercials. The most notable aspect is that in the three shown, none mentions the model of car. Is the assumption that the viewer should be able to distinguish a New Yorker from a 300 from a Newport? Just, "Chrysler, your next car..." My grandfather had a 1976 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham - white with mint green leather interior. It was a sight to behold.

  3. These were large cars, even in 1969.
