Should the institution not meet certain goals, CMS makes sure their reimbursement rates are lowered. Hope you are feeling better.
I wo...Hello Cookie,

Hope you are feeling better.

I work in healthcare and know without doubt that a hospital is not the best place to recover. How can one sleep on a crinkly mattress.

I remember being a patient in the Air Force on a surgical floor that I worked as a medic. I would go to the nurses station often and change my bed assignment to the empty rooms. I needed my rest. I lived on the compound in the back of the hospital and finally had permission to recover in my dorm but I had to check-in a few times each day. This girl needed her beauty rest. Yea, my health was important but the ruckus of a busy surgical floor was impeding my recovery.

Be well. Pace yourself.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-919830837927228571.post-28584474486216799092018-11-11T19:27:54.223-05:002018-11-11T19:27:54.223-05:00I don't mind paying for a $400 bowl of oatmeal...I don't mind paying for a $400 bowl of oatmeal. The delays I understand. There were those who had waited longer than I and were in more dire shape. But that "bed" was cruel, and it put me in a really foul mood. But I am meeting with doctors this week so we should have a plan. Trust me, I do not want this to happen again. We had a friend who ignored all the signs and recently died of a heart attack at the age of 50.

So take good care of yourself, deal with the doctors, and get well soon.
--JimParnassushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08958901307538141468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-919830837927228571.post-42236349010640822762018-11-10T20:29:51.290-05:002018-11-10T20:29:51.290-05:00Sheesh!
