Yes, this was part of Cookie's childhood. Cookie's paternal grandmother and Aunt would encase the furniture in plastic and then cover the plastic with finger throws so the plastic stayed nice. Sometimes the throws lacked the rubberized backing, so you had to brace your tiny child body or risk being thrown by the the davenport. Yeah, that will fuck with your childhood sense of security....
