The Bad News: Buckeye Chuck - Ohio's offical ground hog of record (pictured above). Chuck is telling us today tells us that we have six more weeks of winter. Chuck is a resident of Marion, Ohio (my adopted hometown) and when he isn't hibernating he waddles around his executive office space at WMRN Radio and works out because Chuck loves the ladies.
The GOOD News: Its FREAKING GROUND HOG DAY - my official first day of spring! Though we may have cold wintery weather for the next few weeks, Ground Hog Day means that we fewer cold days ahead of us and that those cold days have the potential for ending faster. AND it also means that the skunk cabbage will soon be a blooming, and then its two weeks to crocus blooms and that wonderful smell of spring: wet earth. And is only SIX FREAKING WEEKS UNTIL WE GET TO SPRING!
I FREAKING LOVE SPRING!
Now if you will excuse me, I'm going to go and adjust my meds.
